samples from a recent mini session

The latest Mini Session....

Last week i had the pleasure of photographing half a dozen gorgeous wee bubs....all about 10-12 weeks old, so very small and not really doing too much ...;)

you definately forget how tiny they are, its been a while since i photographed babies quite that young....so had to get my "creative cap" on and think outside the square to make some interesting shots for the mums........i've popped up a few as a preview for the mummies, until they recieve their cd's next week.

before and after

thought for those interested , i would post a before and after pic, as i had been asked what i did to the pics.........not much actually....just added a bit of punch and took out a bit of colour.......so you can see for yourself, the original, is totally fine, and "normal" but i didnt want "normal" so to add that little something special...........my friend "lightroom " came into play..........very visual and a photographers' friend.............all pics from this shoot are taken on my "plastic fantastic 50mm 1.8 ".....the tight depth of field worked soooo well with this shoot.....blurry streets in the background......love it !!

a fun photoshoot in and around the city

I had a fun shoot this weekend , where i finally got to photograph my gorgeous niece, ( blonde one) and her friend . I'd promised her for ages i would give her some shots for a portfolio, and i am so glad i finally did it ! we had a fun day ! what was meant to be a rainy day turned into a gorgeous, if not , too sunny day at times, and so i was hunting for shade sometimes.......i've selected a few of my faves at first glance, haven't really edited them all yet........the girls did very well....and hopefully had fun too!!!..as you'll see from the images.....9-10 yr olds are giggly....hehe.....we had some funny shots in there too, as well as the serious ones.........i love the buildings/walls i found and then ending up in the park, before we headed home........each location suited their outfits......and they had afew.....haha...as you'll see....xxxxx enjoy ....sam

just so cute...couldnt resist this shot, its currently my facebook photography page- profile pic....look at those eyes ! so so happy with the lighting and colour of this shot....., i'm super happy with all the shots from this shoot, all 4 babies were great and i'm actually finding it hard to choose just a few i like...hence them all popping up all over the show....;) xoxo sam
