OUR MOTHERS DAY GIVEAWAY WINNER !!!

OMG i blogged !!!! OMG i said OMG !!!!
i reallllllly need to get back to blogging......... i love writing..... and i love sharing more piccies......... but i really have been rather slack .. or busy ...... or just plain lazy when its come to blogging lately....... like this year...... oh wow, the more i talk about it the worse it sounds....... hahha
anyway ............recently i had the pleasure of reading so many wonderful friends nominating their friends to win the mothers day giveaway.................
it was so heart warming to read so many people who loved so many of their girlfriends......... and how they wanted them to win..... it was so lovely and unselfish .... and i loved that cos i am all mushy and stuff.........
so anyway .... after really thinking hard on how i was to choose from all these amazingly deserving mummies......i had to do a random number type thing.... as i just couldnt choose............
and the very lucky and lovely winner was tash ........ with her gorgeous boy phoenix...........nominated by her friend kiara...............

the prize was a mummy and me session........... these sessions we do with you alone.... or in a large group ( coffeegroup styles ) ..... so we had a fun morning hangin with tash and phoenix and tash's nana at my house where the talented makeup artist nessa warne worked her magic on tash .................we drunk tea..... chatted ......... showed phoenix my goats.....all before heading out to location and capturing the sweet magic that unfolded.
phoenix's age is just awesome for this kind of shoot...... keeping mummy busy .... but still giving snuggles and cuddles and making for some pretty cute moments......................
we made a new friend that day .
and this is the total reason why we love doing some giveaways to give back ........... it was such a wonderful morning.....
 i will stop babbling now so you can see the lovely tash and phoenix ........

30 minutes in the life............

well . i am extremely honoured to be asked to be a guest blogger for the wonderful blog that is
"30 minutes in the life".....  its a really inspiring way to shoot and it really did get my creative mind going........ not only did it come at the right time...... ( i was feeling rather heavy mummy guilts for not having shot my kids for a while !! ) but also from a creative perspective..... it was a great wee challenge......... and i would like to share with you my 30 minutes in the life..........

a simple late afternoon at home..... following my kids around the property as they did what they do.....there seems to be more of my daughter than my son.... as he ran off miles away into the back paddock and is less happy about the camera in his face ... hahah .......we witnessed cuddles with the animals..... lazing in the sun...... and trying to master skateboarding.........i really enjoyed doing this... just capturing them doing what they were doing.........i can see myself doing little doco shoots of them each month.... to keep tabs on their changing looks and likes.........

its always an honor when i get invited into peoples homes...... 

and this was no exception...... 

meeting this little new life... 

and enjoying a sweet, calm session in their beautiful home..... 

well, lets just say this photographer was rather spoilt.............

im trying to share more of my work with you ....... more than just the odd little single shot on facebook that is ......
so we did a fun little 10 minute shoot with corey and sid today ....... she's been asking for a while .. please mummy ...... can we do a photoshoot with sid....... he's sooo cute ..... please mummy ..........
sure ..... why not .
so many giggles and cuteness ......... loved every minute of it ....... yeah the light was pretty and my subjects had cuteness to boot, but you know why i loved it so much .... memories... for her ....

simple huh .

she wont forget sid....... her guinea pig.......
childhood memories for me include the pets we had...... and i can see them so clearly ........
i want this for her........ and seth too ( he wants a shoot with sid and the dog too )

memories.... thats why we do this right .......... to create memories..... of moments.... no matter how insignificant they may seem at the time .....or part of everyday life ..... they are the moments that count.

musical chairs, farmland and cute kids ...

so...................
 i had been looking forward to this session for quite some time ........ it had been in the planning for about a year......... as mum fell pregnant soon after booking and we decided to wait until the new arrival .... who is ofcourse, the teeny one of the group in this shoot.......
i had wanted to shoot in these gorgeous wide open paddocks near my house for ages, and was just waiting on the right session to do so ...... this was it ......... i had 5 old dining chairs...... for a family of 5 ....... it had been decided we would play games........ musical chairs being the main one ........ i dont think anyone ... no matter how old or young, can resist a game of musical chairs......... there were so many giggles..... from everyone ..... including me ..... which for those who have met me , know, thats not too hard...
i giggle ALOT!
yes we had chairs, things to do .... but you cant distract from the love, the fun, and the beautiful kind nature of this family ..... and i think i will just let my photos  tell their story ........ and show you , this beautiful little family of 5 ... and what fun we all had on this epic sunny autumn afternoon ........
